Weekly Photo Challenge: Summer Lovin

Summer Lovin’
Show us something you love. It could be your favorite novel, the light of the moon on your deck at night, the beach on a hot day, or that special you-know-who. Get creative!

My boyfriend and I spent the weekend in Spreewald a beautiful biosphere reserve just an hour away from Berlin. It was time to relax a little bit and to leave the stress of work and the city behind us. So we enjoyed the sunny weather and explored the Spreewald by bike and with a canoe. Here are some Pictures I took over the weekend and which mean ‘Summer Lovin’ for me.

  1. Spreewald loks like an interesting place. Lots of greenery around you and I bet you felt like you were in another world. Must be a change of scenery from the city. Surprised to see that beer placed packed – thought that there would be no one as it’s in the middle of a forest. It sure must serve very good beer. Also, good to finally meet your boyfriend πŸ™‚

    • I was surprised that there is such a beautiful place not far away from Berlin. A place to relax and to slow down. Haha .. the beer thing .. πŸ˜€ .. we bought it before we went canoeing in a supermarket πŸ˜‰ There are a few very lovely beer gardens at the waterfront which invite to have a break and drink a cool beer. But we were not sure if we pass one on our route through the network of waterways so we packed a beer for each one in our duffel bag πŸ˜‰
Hope it’s getting warmer in Melbourne soon so that you can enjoy the longer days outside πŸ™‚

      • That is great. Buying beer from a supermarket as opposed to a holiday restaurant or spot usually saves you money. I hope you didn’t drink it while sitting in the canoe…though you and your boyfriend might have πŸ˜€

It got colder in Melbourne today and the past few days. 1’C at night, brrr. But the temperature should be warmer next week πŸ™‚
