Weekly Photo Challenge: Nighttime

Sorry  for being lazy during the past few weeks to keep my blog up to date but I was not really in a blogging mood. But this week’s photo challenge immediately reminded me of two pictures which I took last year in Sydney. It’s from the Harbour Bridge and the skyline at night. I hope you like this entry. And I promise to post more regularly in future.

Weekly Photo Challenge: Silhouette

“Silhouette – This week, experiment with light and capture a silhouette.”

It took me a while to find a suitable picture for this week’s photo challenge because usually I delete those pictures immediately. But then I remembered that I took a few great shots on Rarotonga Island last year. The first picture is from the beach while the sun is rising. It was so beautiful to see the sun rising and to watch the different colours of the horizon even when it was so early in the morning. Although it was worth it to get up so early in my holiday. The second one was taken at night on the beach while the moon shone bright and full over us. For more silhouette pictures click here.

Weekly Photo Challenge: Extra Extra

What a great challenge this week! So much room for interpretation LOL We should share a photo with a little something extra. My contribution to this week’s photo challenge has an extra touch of colour 🙂 I took this photo in New Zealand at Farewell Spit the South Island’s most northern point.

Sand dunes at Farewell Spit in New Zealand

Actually it was a cloudy and rainy day and me and my boyfriend didn’t expect that the weather will change. But the long and high sand dunes looked so inviting for a walk that we couldn’t resist. Only one or two hours later the weather cleared off and the sun broke through the heavy clouds every now and then. It was wonderful especially cause we seemed to be the only ones on the shore .. no more footprints than our owns. Later I captured this moment when the evening sun shed light on the sand dunes which gleamed in a bright yellow colour which gave this photo the special extra.

Beyond all expectations

Hello there, finally I managed to sort out all the pictures of my city trip to Rome. It was kind of my birthday present. Like every year me and my boyfriend do a city trip over an extended weekend to celebrate our birthdays. And this year we chose Rome (just because the flights to Lisbon were too expensive). It was an amazing Holiday and I fell in love with Rome immediately. I suppose everyone who has been in Rome before does know why 😉 It’s such a beautiful city .. full with ancient history and ruins! I had no real expectations .. I just wanted to spent a nice Holiday but this trip was beyond all expectations 🙂

Have a look on your own and enjoy the pictures.
