Weekly Photo Challenge: Signs

“For this challenge, share an image of a sign: it can be a sign near your home — a comforting sight after a long journey — a sign that doubles as art, or other types of signs that hold meaning for you.”

Red and yellow speckles in the trees and falling leaves – signs that summer is over now and autumn rules our life for the next three months. I took this picture today when I went for a walk with my boyfriend through the park Humboldthain near our apartment. Hope you enjoy this entry.

Weekly Photo Challenge: Nighttime

Sorry  for being lazy during the past few weeks to keep my blog up to date but I was not really in a blogging mood. But this week’s photo challenge immediately reminded me of two pictures which I took last year in Sydney. It’s from the Harbour Bridge and the skyline at night. I hope you like this entry. And I promise to post more regularly in future.

Weekly Photo Challenge: Silhouette

“Silhouette – This week, experiment with light and capture a silhouette.”

It took me a while to find a suitable picture for this week’s photo challenge because usually I delete those pictures immediately. But then I remembered that I took a few great shots on Rarotonga Island last year. The first picture is from the beach while the sun is rising. It was so beautiful to see the sun rising and to watch the different colours of the horizon even when it was so early in the morning. Although it was worth it to get up so early in my holiday. The second one was taken at night on the beach while the moon shone bright and full over us. For more silhouette pictures click here.

Weekly Photo Challenge: Textures

“This week, share a texture found in an unexpected place. It could be made of natural materials, as in these images, or with man-made objects.”

What a great theme for a photo challenge because it can be interpreted in so many ways and we are surrounded by different textures everywhere. I immediately thought about a couple of pictures which I took while I travelled through New Zealand last year. I was so fascinated by the nature and its beauty. So here is a small collection of different textures like tree bark, solidified lava and sulphuric sediments. Hope you enjoy this entry.

Weekly Poto Challenge: Zig Zag

“For this week’s challenge, share with us your own take on zigging and zagging. It can be a winding path, the Herringbone pattern on your coat, a scar: any jagged line that tells a story.”

Barcelona is not only a colourful City, it’s also famous for it’s architecture. Many artists lived in Barcelona and they shaped to the contemporary cityscape. Like the building on the picture there are a handful of houses with a Zig Zag front.
